Yet another collectors issue full of lists of 'best songs ever' - of course such lists are never complete, there's always things missing (how come only 3 tracks were produced after 2000?) and always stuff that doesn't deserve to be in any list. And Why does "Let's Get It On" find itself so far down the list?
Of Course, lists are good for musical dialouge because people always have opinions.
Better known to most people as the records that SL2 sampled on their big room rave anthem 'On a Ragga Tip'
Absolutely Solid Gold Track.
40 Types of Trance Music
Posted in Music Musings on Nov 18, 2004 at 2:48 PM
A friend asked me for info on trance music, I realised that this is now a somewhat vague term these days. Ishkur's guide is hardly an authoritative source on the subject of music genres but it's well worth a look, anyway they have over 40 sub genres of trance listed, and I think I have records that fit every type.
I never was a big fan of Halo, and Half Life gets more respect from me for inspiring a DnB party that I would DJ at every week. GTA:SA will probably find its way into my collection when it turns up on el cheapo re-release labels, of course, Rockstar is a Scottish developer so I've got national pride at stake.
Anyway, aren't there any good new games out there which aren't sequels?
One of the greates records that nobody has ever heard, It was voted #1 in John Peel's Festive 50 in 1992 and yet even with the power of the internet search engines it seems impossible to find. Amazon have a couple of albums listed for the banc, both expensive import Items, neither of them list the track on their track listings. There are vinyl copies available used from some speicalist online vendors.
This is precisly the kind of track that justifies the existence of file sharing networks.
I've got a bright green car, amy has a bright blue car, if we're going to buy a new car it'd probably be a hybrid, but we'd like it in a colour that makes us smile. Look at all the hybrids you see on the roads, they're all in booooooring colours, I mean come on, aren't the early adopters supposed to be the kind of people who 'think different'.
Another Fan-bloody-tastic addition to the long running series of CD's from the worlds best nightclub. Andy goes all ectro-acid on us an there's scarecly a track on this CD without a 303 burbling along in its unmistakeable style.
Sure, 'Always Out NUmbered, Never Outgunned' struggles to live up to the quality of the Prodigy's previous offerings, it still remains head and shoulders above the dross turned out by other so called 'producers'
