Greetings to all. Hope life is fulfilling itself for everyone who sees this. I like to use everyday as a pit stop to my destiny...what ever that may be. Right now I’m making many stops and learning that I don’t have to take just one road to get there... I am now almost finishing up my sophomore album which has been such a beautiful journey. I’ve had the oppurtunity to have creative control and really experiment with different sounds and genres I have grown to love and respect over the year. I’ve been able to write about my dreams both broken and aspiring to come through...and learning and maturing through out that process. I’ve been able to work with some wonderful prooducers and artists and I’m still in the works to work with more... I’ve fused downbeat electronica with 70s soul and the outcome has been thrilling. My influences for this album have been zero 7, knarls barkley, fiest, john legend, bilal who I got the pleasure of collaborating with, earth wind and fire, and marvin gaye... amongst many more. In addition to recording I’ve also been dedicated to a new passion.... Art...which has been a hobby of mine for years... I’ve set up a studio In my loft where I work on my canvas’s and my son julez who is 2 now even pitches in... Basqiuat is my biggest influence and hopefully one day my pieces will display the passion and feelings his do. I’m excited about having art shows this years featuring my own work! I’ve also continued writing for other artists.... and got the pleasure of writing along with sean garret and makeba on 2 songs on beyonces bday album... get me bodied and upgrade u... as well as writing on several unreleased albums coming out this year which I’m totally thrilled about! I’ve even gotten the chance to work with writers and artists in different generes such as country which has been very exciting! I’m also the spokesmodel for Dereon wich is the juniors line of house of dereon my mothers and sisters line... my involvement in this has been wonderfull since the line represents the different generations descending from my grandmother....Its a family affair!! Speaking of family...since I gave birth to my precious lil man...daniel julez...I have been so inspired by him to get involved in the childrens market... I have been working with a toy company on a line of hip hop influenced toys called Baby Jamz wich has been soooo much fun! Its so important for me to use my talents and gifts on things that make my son proud. I’m also working with the musical director of the nick jr.’s show "backyardigans"...Evan Lurie...on making a childrens album. I tell you once u have a child your whole priorites shift! Life takes you in different directions and I have learned to embrace them all with the blessings bestowed apon me. To all that support me, love me, like me, who are curious, dislike me, don’t support me, or whatever reason you are here on this page.... may freedom and peace accompany you whatever path u take.
