As Psyche the most

beautiful of mortals

sleeps among the flowers

she dreams of beholding

the perfect face of Eros,

her lover, having found

true love in each-other

they float down the river

of life, for-ever...

What keeps us alive?

What allows us to endure?

I think it is the hope of loving or being loved;

I heard a fable once,

about the Sun going on a journey

to find it's source, and how the moon wept

without her lover's warm gaze;

We weep when light does not reach

our hearts,

We wither like fields if someone close

does not rain their kindness upon us...

Held fast in a faience

of sea changes

While waves queue offshore

in glittering strings

Till love's continuum re-arranges

The perservering sea harbors

all things...

Sunflower - VA

sunflower
sunflower divider

Till the slow daylight pale,
A willing slave, fast bound to one above,
I wait; he seems to speed, and change, and fail;
I know he will not move.

I lift my golden orb
To his, unsmitten when the roses die,
And in my broad and burning disk absorb
The splendours of his eye.

His eye is like a clear
Keen flame that searches through me: I must droop
Upon my stalk, I cannot reach his sphere;
To mine he cannot stoop.

I win not my desire,
And yet I fail not of my guerdon; lo!
A thousand flickering darts and tongues of fire
Around me spread and glow.

All rayed and crowned, I miss
No queenly state until the summer wane,
The hours flit by; none knoweth of my bliss,
And none has guessed my pain.

I follow one above,
I track the shadow of his steps, I grow
Most like to him I love
Of all that shines below

The Sunflowers

Come with me
into the field of sunflowers.
Their faces are burnished disks,
their dry spines

creak like ship masts,
their green leaves,
so heavy and many,
fill all day with the sticky

sugars of the sun.
Come with me
to visit the sunflowers,
they are shy

but want to be friends;
they have wonderful stories
of when they were young -
the important weather,

the wandering crows.
Don't be afraid
to ask them questions!
Their bright faces,

which follow the sun,
will listen, and all
those rows of seeds -
each one a new life!

hope for a deeper acquaintance;
each of them, though it stands
in a crowd of many,
like a separate universe,

is lonely, the long work
of turning their lives
into a celebration
is not easy. Come

and let us talk with those modest faces,
the simple garments of leaves,
the coarse roots in the earth
so uprightly burning.

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind...

What Have You Done (feat. Keith Caputo) - Within Temptation

Why does your voice bark anger at the world
while sitting in golden morning sunlight?
What atrocities have your eyes witnessed,
haunting your soul,
causing your every utterance to cloud the sun,
foment the peace lingering in the air, and
rape fledgling flowers of their innocence?

If I could take it all away, I would,
leaving just the hushing waves washing over you,
carrying your hurt and anger far out to sea.
If I could, I’d kiss away the bark from your lips,
leaving only a sweet trusting smile lasting a lifetime.

Ride The Storm Alone - Paradise

Life has loveliness to sell,
All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fire that sways and sings,
And childrens's faces looking up
Holding wonder in a cup.

Life has loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of gold,
Scent of pine trees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy thoughts that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of peace
Count many a year of strife well lost,
And for a breath of ecstacy
Give all you have been, or could be.

As the waves of perfume, heliotrope,rose,
Float in the garden when no wind blows,
Come to us, go from us, whence no one knows;
So the old tunes float in my mind,
And go from me leaving no trace behind,
Like fragrance borne on the hush of the wind.
but in the instant the airs remain
I know the laughter and the pain
Of times that will not come again.
I try to catch at many a tune
Like petals of light fallen from the moon,
Broken and bright on a dark lagoon.
But they float away--for who can hold
Youth, or perfume or the moon's gold?

Peace flows into me
As the tide to the pool by the shore;
It is mine forevermore,
It ebbs not back like the sea.

I am the pool of blue
That worships the vivid sky;
My hopes were heaven-high,
They are all fulfilled in you.

I am the pool of gold
When sunset burns and dies--
You are my deepening skies,
Give me your stars to hold.

After Love

There is no magic any more,
We meet as other people do,
You work no miracle for me
Nor I for you.

You were the wind and I the sea --
There is no splendor any more,
I have grown listless as the pool
Beside the shore.

But though the pool is safe from storm
And from the tide has found surcease,
It grows more bitter than the sea,
For all its peace.

Letter 3

Good morning, on July 7

Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us -
I can live only wholly with you or not at all -
Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits -
Yes, unhappily it must be so -
You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never -
Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves.
And yet my life in V is now a wretched life -
Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men -
At my age I need a steady, quiet life - can that be so in our connection?
My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day - therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once -
Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together -
Be calm - love me - today - yesterday - what tearful longings for you - you - you - my life - my all - farewell.
Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
ever thine
ever mine
ever ours

blog post Salutation Of The Dawn...
Posted in Happiness on May 30, 2008 at 4:07 AM
Current mood: happy

Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!

What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to choose life

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life -- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind -- are always attained by giving them to someone else.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.

Happiness, it seems to me, consists of two things: first, in being where you belong, and second -- and best -- in comfortably going through everyday life, that is, having had a good night's sleep and not being hurt by new shoes.

But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life; and thanks to a benevolent arrangement of things, the greater part of life is sunshine.

If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias in his garden. He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator.

Your love is like the Arizona sun:
Always there, no matter what I do.
Bathed in light, I feel my love for you,
But words are gone before I have begun.
I don't know why I find it hard to say
The things that rest so deeply in my heart.
It seems almost impossible to start,
As though they're too ungainly to display.
I cherish you and what you feel for me.
I'm lucky that I have you for a mom.
I love you with a love that's sweet and calm,
And vast, like some unending inner sea.
You're the one I'm with when I'm alone;
You're the place within my heart that's home...

You taught me how to love you by
The way that you loved me;
And by your unseen sustenance,
To see what you could see.
You gave to me through who you were
The gift of what I am.
Your pride in me is now my pride;
Your faith, my caravan.

Your life does not conclude with death,
Nor will it end with mine,
For all the lives I touch, you touch,
And so on through all time

You are my mother and my friend,
Which is unusual.
Somehow our characters must blend:
Your wisdom and my will.
I turn, and you are there for me;
I speak, you understand.
I feel cared for, but also free;
You lead but don't command.

I'm fortunate that I was born
To someone just like you;
I love you, not just as my mom,
But for what you are and do

To my sister on Mother's Day:
Often I remember how we were
More focused on ourselves when we were young.
Years and children sweep in like a tide,
Separating us from distant shores.
In truth, we're even closer than before,
Sustaining our childhood inside,
The memories to which we both belong
Enriched by what love teaches us to bear,
Resonant with what we rarely say....
Indian lady with her baby

There is no love enough for me to give you.
However much I feel, there should be more.
All the love an angel choir might sing you
Never makes it halfway up that shore.
Know that I would burst my willing heart
Your life to fill with pleasure overflowing,
Or if I had the genius and the art,
Undertake to paint your spirit glowing.
More beautiful than all the summer fields
Or all the cornucopias of fall,
The wish my insufficient passion yields
Holds me with a vastness I recall.
Even as your love became my sea,
Remember that the same is yours from me...

Jazz Festival

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, often known as Jazz Fest, is an annual celebration of the music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana. Use of the term "Jazz Fest" can also include the days surrounding the Festival and the many shows at unaffiliated New Orleans nightclubs scheduled during the Festival event weekends.
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

According to the official Jazz Fest website, "The Festival celebrates the indigenous music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana, so the music encompasses every style associated with the city and the state: blues, R&B, gospel music, Cajun music, zydeco, Afro-Caribbean, folk music, Latin, rock, rap music, country music, bluegrass and everything in between. And of course there is lots of jazz, both contemporary and traditional."
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

Jazz Fest is currently held during the day at the New Orleans Fairgrounds on two weekends. The weekends are the last weekend in April (from Friday through Sunday) and the first weekend in May (Thursday through Sunday). For two years following Hurricane Katrina, the second weekend was Friday through Sunday only, but the Thursday was restored in 2008. On a few occasions, severe rainstorms have closed individual days of the festival.
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

In addition to the Fairgrounds events, some night concerts at other venues are usually held as official Jazz Fest events. Also, many more music events than usual take place around the city during Jazz Fest and the week in between the two weekends. The festival is a major tourism destination, with an importance for New Orleans only rivaled by Mardi Gras.
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

Early Jazz Fests featured almost exclusively local acts; as the Festival grew, more nationally known acts (most recently in 2008, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, and Robert Plant & Allison Krauss) were scheduled in addition to local performers.
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

The Festival has been held yearly since 1970, when it was founded by George Wein along with Quint Davis and Allison Miner. After founding the fest, Miner ran its day to day operation for George Wein for many years. Miner also founded the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Archive, which contains recordings from musicians interviewed at the festival.
Music Notes 01-Blink Animated

When Miner died on December 23, 1995[2], the interviewing stage was renamed in her memory. After her death, Wein and Davis, with Davis as the Festival producer and driving force in putting together the event, continued the festival.

Simplicity, gentle words touching me
Speaking in my tongue
I know, I always knew that nothing flows
From where I think too much
Simplicity, [simplicity] write your poem across the sand
Oceans drift away
Sometimes [simplicity] I'm lost, sometimes I find
The space to breathe the air
When all I want is to kiss the sky
All I want is to be alive in your arms
And I live to see the stars
Close my eyes and feel like I belong
See the light soft, see the shadows hard
When you try to understand
Simplicity, [simplicity] Jasmine scent in your hair tonight
No camouflage on your face
I know, [simplicity] I always knew that love won't flow
From where it hurts too much
Simplicity, [simplicity]a single calalily stands
On the table in my room
Conceived, [simplicity] never believed the miracle
Treasure of my life
When all I want is to kiss the sky
All I want is to be alive in your arms
And I live to see the stars
Close my eyes and feel like I belong
See the light soft, see the shadows hard
When you try to comprehend
Let me stand-alone
Let us stand together
I just want to live the words
Simplicity, unity, everything I want
Simplicity, harmony, everything you dream
Simplicity, destiny, everything I want
[Simplicity destiny]
Simplicity, symphony, everything you dream
Simplicity...
No, no, no, no, yea, yea
Oh no, no, no, yea
Simplicity, [simplicity] gentle words touching me
Speaking in my tongue
I know, I always knew that beauty flows
When I understand

The Psychophysiology of Venus

click to comment
click to comment
The astrophysical resonances of Venus govern the heart bio-energy centre (chakra), and the thymus, which is the neurological control center for the immune system.
The heart chakra is our centre of intuitive knowing, harmony, magnetic attraction, that which we value, love, romance, and sexual rapture.
click to comment

click to comment
It is where we find our capacity for compassion and appreciation of beauty. The heart chakra and thymus resonate to the emotional tone of fear and judgment. It is fear that shuts the heart down and causes all immune related problems. We defend our fear with judgment. Like the thyroid (governed by Mercury) is reflexed to the liver, the thymus is reflexed to the spleen.
All immune disorders are fear related. The astrophysical resonances of Venus govern heart musculature and firing, lungs, bronchiole, and breasts. All asthmatic and breathing conditions, a sunken chest, and breast problems are fear / judgment originating.

click to comment

Venus (and the heart chakra), when mature and clear, expresses love in art and beauty, with a wonderful capacity for unconditional acceptance of all conditions--true, non-judgmental love. The unconditionally open heart receives and expresses love that is harmoniously balanced.
Mature Venus is open to new experience, is courageous, optimistic, and aware of soul intent and purpose--as the unconditionally open heart is where soul fully radiates. Mature Venus also is sociable, fashionable, artistic, good willed, benevolent, diplomatic, and magnetically sensuous.

click to comment

Afflicted Venus expresses as all fears and phobias, breathing allergies, and catarrhal problems. The poisoned heart is bitter and vengeful--closed to life in a way that manifests as an inability to integrate and accept experience; with an inability to receive, or to give love. Afflicted Venus negates in jealousy the beauty, abundance, luxury and luck of others--projecting disdain and negativity instead.
The poisoned heart is hesitant and insecure, has little self-confidence, and lacks the ability to trust in self or to trust others. Fear to open our hearts leaves us stuck in the head, unwilling to feel, touch, or breath in life--hiding in fear and expressing mentalized judgments with an incessant need to control our reality.
The loss of our intuitive ability leads us to blindly follow dogmas and gurus in submission to propaganda and systems of belief, whether our own or those of others.
click to comment
click to comment

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars lie in that order in our soular system (a system for the evolving soul), Mercury is of logistical thinking, Venus of intuitive awareness, We must integrate the resonances of Mercury and Venus in our lives before we can express through the creative forces of Mars in balance--this being a fundamental lesson for souls on Earth.
Until that occurs, our expression of Mars remains awry.
Expressing from Mercury alone is mentalized judgment, without heart. Expressing from Venus alone is blind heart. Synthesized Mercury and Venus express as Intuitive Knowing. When we express integrated heart and mind (Intuitive Knowing) through Mars we demonstrate Creative Wisdom in Physical Manifestation.

Planets, as do people, have their own "vibrational signature." This signature is a unique blend of waves that are self contained--for example a wave created by the circumference of a planet and its center. Another slang saying is one about "the vibe" that a person is giving off. This refers to the self contained vibrational expression of a person.
click to comment
click to comment

Another type of wave is that created by the relationship (harmonic interval) between a self contained vibrational system and another--two vibes interacting. In this case, we have an oscillation occurring between to vibrating elements, like between a planet and its orbit about the sun. Thus an oscillation is also a wave, as is a vibration of one single element, Vibrations can also be composed of a group of oscillations-- the collective vibe given off by a group of interactions.
click to comment

Thus, a person exhibits a vibe that is composed of a variety of inner oscillations (some harmonious, some not so) between the vibrating atoms and molecules within, those that are directed by the thoughts and feelings the person has.
click to comment

A planet exhibits a vibe that is composed of a variety of oscillations found within itself--including the vibrational signature of the collective consciousness created by the interacting (oscillations) relationships (the musical intervals) of the collective populace.

click to comment

So, what is your vibe today and how do you want to oscillate (interrelate)?
Remember: "There's a New Vibe on Earth, its called Love."
