Description
All these artists have developed my interest in music and are people who i could listen to everyday for the rest of my life. Bob Marley was my first idol. I wanted to be a rasta when i was between 9 and 12! Louis Armstrong was the first musician that gave me what i call the musical shivers! I get the musical shivers when i hear a song or line or beat that i find really incredible, i remember listening to 'What a Wonderful World' and thinking it was the most beautiful song ever. Atmosphere, The Roots and Aesop Rock were and are my favorites in hip hop. They are the staple on my music rotation. Before i got into hip hop i listened to a lot of Nirvana and Sublime and Nirvana still remains one of my favorite bands. Rage Against the Machine was one of my first albums and cemented my thirst for intelligent powerful music. The Wu-Tang Clan for me represents the heart of what hip hop. Eminem was one of the first rappers that i listened to a lot and gave me a sense of belonging in hip hop. Biggie Small's in my opinion is the best rapper that there ever was and inspired me to start freestylin'. These are some of my music idols and i am thankful for what they have done for music and me.
