The music world has yet again lost another one of its own as Titus “Baatin” Glover, founding member of the Detroit hip-hop collective Slum Village, passed away over the weekend. According to AllHipHop, the MC was found dead on August 1st on Anglin Street in his native Detroit. The eccentric rhyme-spitter helped to start Slum Village alongside members T3 and J Dilla (RIP). Baatin’s untimely death is almost a double whammy for Slum Village fans who had recently received promising news, as it was recently reported that the rapper, who had left the group in 2004 after being diagnosed with schizophrenia, would be rejoining the fold for the group’s latest LP, Villa Manifesto, which is slated to be released on September 22nd. There is no word on how many tracks the rapper will be featured on on Manifesto

Baatin's verse portrays the state of hip-hop for a while now, but like he also said "when the situation is tainted love is always free, love is always free love is always free" which is why hip-hop is still alive and always will be...Love this track to death, was my put-on on dwele and elzhi
