blog post How many events can I go to in one night?!
Posted in parties on Jan 25, 2007 at 10:13 AM by carol chimonster
Monday was a crazy night! There were so many events to go to, that Ethan and I had to split up. In addition, fellow imeemer, Rosa, returned to the city by the bay, so I had to take my chances on the red carpet. All in all, I think I did a pretty good job!

Next I met up with Ethan and friends at the Red Envelope happy hour. I really wanted one of those red silk pillows and lush black blankets that were strewn about the lounge, but I couldn't carry that all night!

Of course, no Sundance night would be complete without a stop at MySpace nights @ Tao. The evening was going to be crazy with Nelly hosting, and Rich Boy and Akon performing.

I was also able to get good shots of Tara Reid and Lance Bass in the VIP section. Unfortunately I was being seriously crushed so I left before the Tara+Akon freaking session. Man that would have been good!

People sure know how to party it up here! As for me, 5 days of partying in a row is a bit tough! I'll have to build up my stamina for next year!

Moto on Main was definitely the top party this year… oh wait, it is every year! So after braving the crowds at TAO again and seeing the fire marshall man the door at the AE Aerie WhiteOut party Saturday night we headed over to Motorola’s Moto on Main where we were SO glad we did!

We got to see JT and Lance chilling all night and we were actually convinced at one point we saw Nick Lachey… well maybe we just WANTED to see Nick there because then it really would have been a boy band reunion.

They had the Nintendo Wii in the corner by a bar, It was great to watch people drunkenly try to play tennis all night! I think we managed to stay out till about 4 am… Everyone kept saying it was THE party of sundance!

Actually at one point this guy lost his jacket, he kept jumping on top of this couch that everyone had put their jackets on and started jumping up and down and throwing jackets every which way. He flipped out on someone next to me saying they stole his jacket, the person didn’t even KNOW the guy! THEN, the best part was after 15 minutes of him goinjg crazy his buddies walk up holding his jacket reminding him he took it off at the OTHER round couch! Sometimes coats and alcohol don’t mix, ever notice how people like are always losing their coats in the winter?

Sundance has some of the best parties, and on Saturday I was lucky enough to go to two of them. According to the crowds I saw, the hot ticket of the night was the MySpace nights party at Tao with Pharell and Mos Def. It was absolute madness! Just crowds of desperate people pushing the gates, working the bouncers, yelling at the PR people...OVER HERE! Luckily I got hooked up with a wristband, and in I go!

Unfortunately I had to take off before Mos Def or Pharell took the stage. I wasn't too depressed however as that place got packed packed packed. Going across the room to the restroom took 10, pushing elbow-jabbing filled minutes. As I walked out the front, there were still TONS of people trying to get in.

Anyway, off I went to the AE White Out party at Village at the lift. After 2 lines for wristband holders (2 lines?!), fellow imeem blogger, Raymond, and I stopped by T-mobile diner for a quick snack. Totally awesome spot with free food for lucky pass holders. Not sure how i got hooked up with that, but I am NEVER one to turn down anything free! Well, that decision ended up being a bad one, since when we got out, there was a newly formed line number 3!!! Apparently if you went out of the tent to go to the restroom, you had to wait in line before you could get back in. Now we were the desperate people trying to work our way in. After a bit, we finally got in and I secured a great spot by the stage.

And let me tell you...I love Jared Leto. I think every girl in the room did too. And I think that there were at least two girls next to me trying to sleep with him that night. They were blowing kisses, flipping their fake blonde hair, taking off clothes...it was pretty hilarious! I don't know what it is, but his eyes...wow!

It's colder tonight than last night. My mom told me to wear gloves. I am.

I've got so much more to add, but I've got to put this up RIGHT NOW!

30 Seconds to Mars concert video. Jared Leto is hot. I don't care that he wears makeup now. And if you don't agree, just check out the hordes of girls drooling over him.

more soon!

blog post Hollyscoop Kicks Off Sundance :Day 1
Posted in parties on Jan 19, 2007 at 6:07 PM by Hollyscoop.com

Hello Everyone!
Last night we kicked off the opening night of Sundance film festival in true Hollyscoop style. Although we were extremely tired and jet-lagged we decided to be troopers and head out to Nick Cannon's exclusive party in Deer Valley at the Sundance Escape house. Nick was on the turn tables mixing the beats while the crowd partied on. We had never seen Nick take on the role as a DJ but we gotta say he was pretty good.

After Nicks party, we headed out to Club Tao at Harry O's, where we spotted Ian Ziering a.k.a. Steve Sanders. The place was jam packed and was going off. So far we are having a good time in Park City eventhough its COLD COLD COLD! Stay tuned as we bring you more scoop from Utah!

blog post No snow in The Star Bar!
Posted in parties on Jan 19, 2007 at 2:52 PM by Rosa Mimosa

We lived through our first night in Park City. I'm pretty sure last night it was -183 or something like that. Luckily we were inside The Star Bar at Slamdance's Lucky 13 Party. Toasty.

Supernatural, Sage Francis, DJ Rocky Rock, DJ Fluffy, and The Visionaries entertained us (ok, and a crowd of other people too) thus adding to the adventures of Carol and Rosa! :)

You can check out the rest of the party pics here: http://slamdance.imeem.com/

Lots more to come today. I can't wait to hit someone (probably Ethan) with a snowball!
