This Band can actually trace its roots and beginnings to weddings. Pre-mature Surveillance cousins Robby and Kyle started collaborations on wedding songs to perform. At the time the two cousins came from two different worlds. Robby had a rock band known as The Airway, while Kyle was running under the alias Infanite as a underground rapper. They both ran their obsession not knowing that one day together they will be sharing a stage and a heltfelt love for the music they will soon write. Having gone nowhere with both of their musical journeys, the two cousins one day decided to peform at a Connexions show in Carson just as a two piece featureing compositions in which contained melodic singing, guitar, and infectious rapping. After some positive vibes given by the crowd and encore in the parking lot, they were called to play a huge community leader dinner in San Pedro in which again came positive comments from not only kids alone, but adults as well. SInce then the two cusins started working hard on collaborations and songs. It was then they decided to embark on another musical journey. "The music we write is nothing like I've ever written before. It really means a lot to all of us as a band to really be out there playing these songs." says Kyle. In March 2007, after having tried several different drummers, The Airway's former Drummer Joey Kumiyama picks up his sticks once again and throws down his powerful beats to give the band a lot more spice. A name was needed so they've decided on the stage name Surveillance. Shortly after, Danny joined the band as a bassist to further develop their sound as a whole. Robby and Danny went and graduated from the same high school and shared the love for the same type of music. He joined reluctanly after he heard a few songs after practice. Then they played at a Battle of the Bands and that's where Tony came into view. Tony was a musician as well who played for several bands that also went nowhere. He was in search of something new and out of the blue. When he saw Surveillance play, he immediately wanted to join. After a tryout and a show for his keyboard abilities, Surveillance knew they needed him. So that is the story so far. Surveill is here; we're here Love Us or Hate Us. We keep Rockin Steady.
