I this is one of the things I use often at work : Pandora.com. It creates custom music stations tailored to your tastes. You enter a favorite band, and it starts playing music that's similar. Then, as you listen, you can rate, add favorites, fast-forward, pause, and click-to-buy.Here's a link to my DJ Shadow custom station.Create an account and share your own.http://feeds.pandora.com/feeds/people/pandora4407/favorites.xml?max=100http://www.pandora.com/?sc=sh16926298611414637

Hey. Just signed up on Dodgeball. Seems like it could be a good tool, if you can find friends ...http://www.dodgeball.com/
This Thursday, June 1, the Tashiro-Kaplan building in Pioneer Square will be open for Gallery Walk.
Please stop by my studio, 306 Washington St., Studio 103 to view (and purchase) recent oil paintings and digital acrylic work. My wife, Tamara Aidlin, will also be debuting a new digital / acrylic series.
The studio will be open from 6-9 and wine will be served.
We look forward to seeing you, and thanks for all your support!

Kinda clunky, but an interesting new social-networking site, specifically geared to "hot nerdy girls and indie rock boys! With glasses!"

I was reminded today of LinkedIn, a great social-networking site geared specifically toward business contacts. I've had a few job-offers through contacts on the site, and it's a great way to keep in touch with old colleagues. Ch-ch-check it out.

This is a good site which provides "community" according to interest ... and with these groups, the purpose is to actually get together in meatspace and actually talk to eachother about stuff. I've only been to one meeting, though, and that was for the Digital Video Meetup, which doesn't even exist anymore. I'm terrible.

This is an interesting site and tool. It's kinda like Del.icio.us in that you can tag links, but it's also a little more geared to finding new information. You tell it what you're interested in and it serves up pages that other users have rated according to interest. Check it out.

I'm sure you've used YouTube.com before. Here's a link to the short films I've posted on there, as well as my favorites ...
The short films were edited a few years ago, as I was just starting to become interested in film. Most of the footage was shot at random and edited once the music track was cut. The poetry is that of my friend J.C. Coyle (Johnny Mayday) and is read by him. I mixed the tracks. Send me your thoughts at tim@taidlin.com!
