Tibetan Music Awards 2009 will start The online voting for from 11 September 2009.
It will be online for 10 days. You can view the voting form now on musictibet.com.
Voting through post, published in the Tibet Times newspaper, is already underway.

The votes will decide the winners of awards in 17 different categories.
The awards presentation ceremony will be held on 10 October at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Mcleod Ganj, India.
Preparations are in full swing for the event. Artistes, Songwriters, Musicians, Singers and Producers have been invited to the event.

The TMA was first started in 2003. Since then it has been held every other year.

The Tibetan Music Awards 2009.It will be held at Tipa, Mcleod Ganj, India, on 10 October 2009.

There will be around 15 awards in different categories.
Straight online and postal voting will decide the winners.
All artistes musicians, singers, composers are welcome to the event to participate

Tenzin Choezom 20, student (just completed class XII), Dharamshala.

Tenzin can speak Tibetan, English and Hindi. She likes dancing, playing musical instruments and basketball.

Her future goal is to work in the field of journalism. Since Her early childhood she had been deeply encouraged and inspired by her late father to enter this field. She believes that it's an important job as today's live is so connected with news all around, which keeps us connected to the world at large through a small window

Ngawang Choying, the first runner-up, received rupees 50,000. Dolkar was awarded the third prize with an amount of rupees 25,000, while Yeshi lhamo, the final contestant received a consolatry award of rupees 5,000.
