Reno is a character from the Final Fantasy VII videogame series.
Most of Final Fantasy VII’s characters have last names, albeit rarely-used ones, but like the rest of his fellow Turks, he’s an exception. Perhaps he hasn’t risen up the ranks far enough to merit more than just “Reno.” He’s still distinctive enough, though, with a shock of red hair standing out over his monochromatic outfit.

Reno is part of the Shinra Corporation’s goon squad, first sent out alongside his partners Rude and Elena to try and bring in the terrorist group AVALANCHE. Later, he and his fellows are tasked with aiding Cloud Strife against the Jenova cult headed by Kadaj.

Despite their many run-ins (most of which he ended up on the losing side of), Rude bears no ill will towards Cloud or any of the other AVALANCHE veterans. He’s emotionally detached from his job, as a rule, and tends to view the strange circumstances he winds up in with a mocking bemusement.

That indifferent attitude extends to his personal dress – he sports a pair of goggles on his forehead (but never on his eyes), doesn’t bother to tuck his shirt in, and leaves his collar unbuttoned (a necktie, of course, would be right out of the question). When the chips are down, though, he can usually be relied upon to get somewhat serious, and he’s quite adept with his signature weapon, an electric telescoping stun baton.
