Thanks so very much to all who entered. There was some incredible work in here.

We Decemberists are playing for the first time the entirety of our new record, The Hazards of Love, at the NPR showcase at Stubb's during Austin TX's infamous cheap beer all-you-can-drink contest (bearded chapter), South by Southwest. This all goes down on March 18th, the first night of the festival-conference-thing. And we'd like to wrangle you, into this debauched debacle, by inviting -- nay, CHALLENGING -- you to design a poster for the showcase.

Your submission should be 18x24 and include a 1 inch border along the bottom for inclusion of logos and websites.

Please upload your design to the decemberists fans group page as a pdf or jpg by March 5 at 12pm pst.

Extra points are awarded to poster designers who are most imperceptibly able to incorporate a portrait of Ladybird Johnson in their design. Just kidding. Sort of.

The winning design will be chosen by the band personally and used as the Official Poster for the Show, 1,000 copies will be printed and posted all around Austin and your art will accompany the first ever performance of the Decemberists new album, The Hazards of Love. Happy designing.
