The Red Ford is a reality series documentary of the filmmakers at the film festivals in Park City, Utah.

Imagine: Taxicab Confessions meets Dinner For Five in the heart of independent film.

It’s every budding filmmaker’s journey to greatness, captured on tape. A pimped-out, fully wired Red Ford Excursion sets the scene as our hosts interview the filmmakers on their quest for stardom. This is the creation of a real-time expose of the trials and tribulations of the filmmaker’s dreams in the festival setting. As a self-promoted filmmaker attempting legendary status, The Red Ford is the train you can’t afford to miss.

Park City, Utah is where the Sundance Film Festival began in 1985. Since then over a dozen similar film festivals have formed, taking place at the same time (mid January) and location. Thousands of filmmakers, actors, and fans from all over the world gather in the largest independent film festival community for ten days. It’s the job of The Red Ford to capture their stories on tape. For ten days, The Red Ford will be giving free luxurious rides to those in need -- in exchange for their stories.

In addition, the title “The Red Ford” pays homage to the great one, the man who started it all, Robert Redford!

Mike Ansbach developed this mobile production studio concept after his film comedy “Nice Pants” debuted in Park City. He got accepted into one festival, due to it’s buzz, guerilla marketing, and popularity, he was accepted as a “walk on” at 3 more concurrent festivals. Truly the best 10 consecutive days of his life.
