imeem Presents Mutiny & Mayhem at the Treasure Island Music Festival 2008!
Want to share the spotlight with some of today’s hottest bands and expose your music to thousands of new fans at one of the country’s leading music festivals? imeem.com is giving two up-and-coming bands an opportunity to take the stage at the Treasure Island Music Festival in September, alongside an internationally-renowned lineup of artists that includes The Raconteurs, Justice, Vampire Weekend, TV On the Radio, Hot Chip, and more*.
Here’s how to enter:
1. Sign up for imeem,
click here 2. Join the Treasure Island Music Festival group,
click here 3. Upload ONE original song by your band to the Treasure Island Music Festival group page,
click here 4. Make sure to specify in the description of the song whether you are submitting your band to play on Saturday, September 20 (electronic, dance and hip hop), or Sunday, September 21 (indie rock). Please don’t forget this step!!

Rules and Regulations The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. PST on July 28th. On Friday, August 1st, our panel of music industry luminaries will announce 20 finalists (10 finalists per day) and then open voting to imeem’s community. Make sure you have your fans/friends/family/strangers comment, rate, and listen to your music! The judges will take into account crowd favorites.
On Monday, August 18th, we’ll announce the two bands selected to open this year’s festival. Good luck to everyone!!
*Additional artists at Treasure Island Music Festival this year include (Saturday) Goldfrapp, CSS, Antibalas, Aesop Rock, Amon Tobin, Foals, Mike Relm, Nortec Collective: Bostich and Fussible, Loquat, and Chester French. Artists performing on Sunday include Tegan & Sara, Spiritualized, Okkervil River, Tokyo Police Club, The Kills, Dr. Dog, John Vanderslice, The Dodos, Fleet Foxes, The Morning Benders, and Port O’Brien.
