Tommy Steele, “A Long Haul”

Looking back at his musical career, there isn’t a thing that country singer and musician Tommy Steele would change. With great passion and a fiery drive, Tommy Steele is earning his place in country music and it feels good.

Encouraged by his mother, a former Nashville country singer, and his father, Tommy toiled for months before he was able to afford his modest beginner’s drum set. It was all worth it, however, when, with the first bang on the set, Tommy realized his destiny. From then on he spent every waking moment either earning money to buy musical instruments or honing his own musical abilities. At an early age, Tommy’s musical talents included not only the drum skills that started him down this country road, but also guitar, mandolin and bass, as well as writing and performing his own songs.

Tommy gained a huge fan base with the release of “Love Country Music” in 2007. The album was an instant success and soon Tommy was on a nationwide tour performing and showcasing his talents. Buzz from the album quickly spread, resulting in over 1.5 million online plays of tracks off “Love Country Music” as well as over 2 million views and visits to Tommy’s social media profiles.

Today Tommy has wrapped recording his new CD “The Long Haul” in Nashville. The desire to create his best album yet led to a lot of hard work and late nights, but in the end there is no denying the brilliance of this project.

With the much anticipated Fall 2009 release of the “The Long Haul” and the signing of major sponsors including Peavey Electronics, Budda Amplication and Trace Elliott Co, Tommy Steele hasn’t changed. He still remains the hard-working, music-loving country boy he’s always been. The only difference? His music will now be amplified across the nation, allowing him to reach more fans and live out the American dream by doing what he loves.
