I used to live in the country, where I could run and play,
where one could be wild and free and lay in the hay.
Then I moved to town where things are so different,
everyone is moving all around, with so many new sounds, it is hard to stay.
I try to stay in my own yard, but the occasional rabbit may catch my eye
sending me on a merry chase.
Sometimes I just wander, to see what I can see.
Or I may even smell my "big brothers and sisters" - you see they are bigger than me ;
I may try to follow their path. Maybe they'll play with little 'ol me.
I may find a stray tire or two, but I do try to go "poo" in my own yard.
But sometimes it is so very hard.
I have seen my big brothers lift their leg on my house to be sure,
or even leave a Big pile of poo,
mom and dad are thinking of bringing it back to you
You got the wrong drive don't you see,
my poo is smaller than what you left for me.
So next time you bag up that poo and dump it in my drive,
make sure it was I who left it as a surprise.
Be kind and make sure it is mine!
