Dee- you are correct- remember - U2 was on a barge rockin out !! MTV sure has gone downhill since it's debut !! This song, however is a classic.

If my memory serves me properly, and often it doesn't, Gloria was the first song U2 released as a video on MTV in 1982 (?) - I was 15!!

I was 9 years old when I was listening to this. What's so great is that they virtually sound the same in 2009 -- the 21st century. The band sounds as tight as ever, and Mr. Paul Hewson, a.k.a. the Rock God Bono's voice sounds like a fine Celtic wine aged from 1979 to now. Thanks, Guys, for legally (I know how passionate you are about that, Bono, Sir...) allowing us to listen to your art. I will be buying this remastered classic in the future...thank God for Punk Rock and New Wave...music has never been the same since the virus hit us...please, keep it going...let me in to as much of the sound as you can give us.
