Upsetta International Sound System is venturing out, creating and expanding more than ever this year! We are truly blessed to announce the creation of our very own Record Label/Production Team - known as Upsetta Sound.
Upsetta Sound is internationally owned and operated - with the founding branch of this family is currently residing in a state of the art production studio, located in Burlington, Vermont (Church ST). Working remotely on this ingenious production/promotion product; master minds - Dante DaVinci (aka J2), Selector Dubee and Eastcoast.
Additionally, Upsetta Sound is affiliated with Jakk Stereo Recording Studio at 7 Cynthia Ave, Edgewater, Portmore St. Catherine. This is a well established studio in Jamaica, where many artists reside and create. The studio is owned and operated by yet another industry icon, Jakk Stereo.
One of Upsetta Sound's initial goals with this venture - is to focus on creating and establishing the highest quality of production and promotion for talented, passionate, dedicated - "yet to be heard" artists (locally and from foreign). Thanks to Upsetta Sound's movement/family - these voices will be heard, with backing, production and support that some artists have only once dreamed of. Additionally, Upsetta Sound will be working alongside various "top" artists in the Reggae/Dancehall industries.
Currently, Upsetta Sound is building an amazing union of brilliant artists and the foundation of this universal family is ever growing. Right now, among the highly blessed talents on Upsetta Sound are Admiral Tibet, Determine, Purity, Fudgie Springer, Nahswitch, DayInJah, Zico, Ras Iba, Kyah Omega, Shalli, Potenkle I, Greta Frost, Ras Q, Smoke, Aqua, and many more to come!
Upsetta Sound is extremely proud of their debut Riddim release: The Cuss Fix Riddim. The Cuss Fix Riddim was released on January 23, 2009 - worldwide!! This Riddim is a powerful, modernized version - slightly reminiscent of the Jamaican classic - The Cuss Cuss Riddim. The riddim is already creating a buzz in Jamaica and Japan. The riddim features soon to be hit singles from the great Admiral Tibet aka Mr. Reality, Determine, Ras Iba, Purity, Shalli, Zico, DayInJah, Universal Speakers, Smoke & Aqua, Ras Q, Greta Frost, Potenkle I and Kyah Omega.
Furthermore, Upsetta Sound just released its first single on the Dark Alley Riddim; Money by up and coming Dancehall Star - Fudgie Springer! Upsetta Sound is honored to be a part of this project - as this tune is pounding chests, moving souls and creating awareness! This is a single is already generating buzz and steam from Jamaica to Japan and the USA - while Upsetta Sound continues to build more tunes to be released on this riddim later in 2009 - featuring Smoke & Aqua, Mr. Kalli, Potenkle I and more.
The follow up to the Cuss Fix Riddim is Upsetta Sound's first true dancehall riddim release - known as the Ga Pow Riddim! This riddim guarantees to be one of the hottest riddims of 2009! Signature of all Upsetta Sound Riddims - the Ga Pow Riddim is sure to shake souls, pound the floor and motivate even the stiffest of booties to shake! The juggling lineup is currently in the works; though Upsetta Sound is very proud to announce the newest members of its family upon this groundbreaking riddim - Nahswitch ... as well as DayInJah, Smoke & Aqua, Universal Speakers featuring Daddy Scotty and more ... !!
