In its 10th consecutive year the Voodoo Music Experience will again take place in City Park set amidst lush lagoons, bayous, one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world, all in the shadow of the New Orleans Museum of Art and just minutes from the historic French Quarter and Central Business District. The Voodoo Experience is known for its wide-ranging line-up of talent that each year reflects the multitude of cultures that define this historic and beloved American city.

Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, R.E.M., and lil Wayne will take the stage at the 2008 Voodoo Experience accompanied by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Irving Mayfield, New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and many more. Keep yourself updated on the featured artists, their music and videos, as we continue to reveal this year's fantastic lineup.

City Park's beautiful landscape with its
lagoons and live oaks will feature six performance areas including 2 main stages, the Preservation Hall Tent, and more, as well as the return of the exclusive VIP LOA which will offer a VIP atmosphere with a private entrance, preferred parking, grandstand seating, upgraded bathrooms, exclusive menu selections full bar, an allotment of complimentary drinks, snacks and a gift bag along with exclusive musical performances.

With concert tickets on the constant rise, what’s a music fan’s best bet this year?

A single day $40.00 ticket to this year’s three-day VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE, New Orleans’ signature fall music event.

But concertgoers will have to move fast to score the limited number of tickets that are being released for sale Friday, September 14.

VOODOO’s three full days of music--October 26, 27 and 28--will kick off with appearances from Rage Against the Machine and Kings Of Leon (Friday), the Smashing Pumpkins, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Sinead O’Connor (Saturday), Wilco, Dr. John and Fall Out Boy (Sunday); more than 100 acts will appear in the VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE’s three distinct performance areas--Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival--each of which highlights a unique side of the personality of New Orleans.

Full weekend passes at just $115.00 will allow fans to enjoy the entire three days of music at the City Park locale set amidst lush lagoons, bayous, one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world--all in the shadow of the New Orleans Museum of Art and just minutes from the historic French Quarter and Central Business District. The VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE is known for its wide-ranging line-up of talent that each year reflects the multitude of cultures that define this historic and beloved American city.

To enhance this year’s VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE, the festival’s producers have teamed with Star Costumes for the “The “Star Costumes: How Would You Do Voodoo” campaign to send one clever costumer to the annual music event. Located at http://www.brickfish.com/music/StarCostumes, the contest invites revelers to create their favorite costume or costume ideas for the chance to don theirs at the Voodoo Music Experience. Participants in the “Show Star Costumes Your Original Costume for the Voodoo” campaign will upload photos, design or videos of their original costume or costume idea. Each entry shall include a brief description as to why Star Costumes should choose their entry. The Grand Prize Winner selected by Star Costumes from the Top 50 entries will win two three-day concert passes, $1,000 for travel, plus a $100 Star Costumes gift card. In addition, the winning costume will be featured on Star Costume’s site. A second place winner based on score will be awarded a $100 gift card to Star Costumes. The most viral entry and a sweeps winner will also receive $100 gift cards to Star Costumes. Anyone can view the entries and vote for their favorites. The “Star Costumes: How Would You Do Voodoo” campaign runs from September 4 to October 4.

Rage Against The Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins and Dr. John are among the more than 110 acts confirmed for the 2007 Voodoo Music Experience, which expands this year to three days to accommodate the number of artists who comprise the diverse talent line-up.

Set for Halloween weekend in City Park, New Orleans' signature fall music event encompasses three full days of music - October 26, 27 and 28--with performances from Wilco, Tiesto in Concert, Kings of Leon, Sinead O'Connor, Common, Ben Harper and Galactic, among others (full list below).

These acts will appear in the Voodoo Music Experience's three distinct performance areas - Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival - each of which highlights a side of the personality of New Orleans.

For its ninth consecutive year - and despite 2005's devastation to the region - the Voodoo Music Experience will again take place in City Park set amidst lush lagoons, bayous, one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world, all in the shadow of the New Orleans Museum of Art and just minutes from the historic French Quarter and Central Business District. The Voodoo Music Experience is known for its wide-ranging line-up of talent that each year reflects the multitude of cultures that define this historic and beloved American city.

LOA Lounge (VIP) packages will be available beginning Friday, July 20 at $450 for a three-day pass, plus applicable service charges.

The exclusive LOA area will offer a VIP atmosphere with a private entrance, preferred parking, grandstand seating, upgraded bathrooms, exclusive menu selections provided by Dickie Brennan Restaurants, full bar, an allotment of complimentary drinks, snacks and a gift bag along with exclusive musical performances.
