About

Description
A gang of three, four including rock. We are Wolves imposes a music that's both free and honest, like the celestial lightning on the mystic mountain. It's a post-punk landscape filled with analogue trees. It's like rock after the post-modern explosion.

We ended our Canadian tour dates with Vancouver. Canada has been so good to us on this tour. By being so enthusiastic about dancing and the reaction to the loud distorted noises we produce you people helped us believe in our sound!

Considering the kind of music we play, we think a frantic audience is perhaps what suits us best. We were blessed with raw energy on every date from Winnipeg to Vancouver and we thank you for that! It was fucking awesome to play for you guys!

We then crossed the borders again on our way to Seattle. On that particular date, the band was feeling tired. Exhausted from accumulated long hours of driving and lack of any sleep. Playing shows every night is a great thing but when you're dealing with the reality almost every indie-bands deals with, like being responsible for everything from driving, loading in and out, finding places to stay and all that basic stuff, there comes a time where you kinda lose it for a little while.

Unfortunately you don't decided when that is going to happen. I was sick in both Seattle and Portland. Lost part of my voice and thought I was going to faint on stage at the Holocene in Portland. To be honest it's hard to deal with extreme tiredness because you also feel like the shows suffer for it.

That said, Seattle and Portland are two cites we have always visited whenever we did a tour of the west, and we love our fans there! Good news for us, the return of high energetic shows was back with our first performance out of four in California.

We played a monthly party in San Francisco called "Loaded". A short 30 minute set that went very well. Certainly one of the best club nights we played so far in terms of musical performance and reaction from the crowd. The energy driven from that show put us back on our feet! We are now on our way to San Diego to play the Feel The Noise party at Beauty Bar.

We'll write again soon.
Love, We Are Wolves.

Soooooo...here we are, on our way to Vancouver. So far, all our Canadians dates have been amazing! Saskatoon kicked ass! The two last times we played there, only a few people showed up, but this time, we were surprised to show up to a sold out gig at a bigger venue and to see kids sing along to our new and older songs. We had a blast!

We then headed to Edmonton. Alberta has always been one of our favorite provinces in Canada to play because of the highly energetic crowds there. The Edmonton show was promoted by Nick from the band Shout Out Out Out. A terrific dance-rock musical act! If you have never heard of them, check 'em out! They will make you dance and headbang at the same time!

The party turned out to be great!, just like Edmonton has always been to us. We played Calgary the day after on a freezing night. We played a venue called Republik that has just re-opened. The sound was bassy as hell, to the point where we thought the floor was gonna crack. We may have touched a new type of crowd there. It felt like there were more rock dudes and "dudettes" in the audience than on the previous time. Word to the opening act, The Sids, a local band that brought a raw-garage energy to the night! They hit the spot!

We got into the van the morning after on our way to the amazing Canadian mountains. It's a long way from Calgary to Vancouver. We usually do it in two days, but this time we booked a show in Kamloops, a town that's about 4 hours from Vancouver. We had never played there, so we really didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be one of the coolest shows and surprises on this tour!

We played at a place called The Loft, a venue that is the size of my 2 1/2 in Montreal! When we got there, a couple under age kids were already hanging out , drinking sugary juice and waiting for the first band to play. Our sound guy went inside first and asked if that was the right place, if there was going to be a We Are Wolves show there that evening. The guy at the door answer "Yes, but we don't think there gonna show up, they're probably stuck in the
snow!".

We were there, excited to play in such random but appealing conditions. The temperature in the van was so cold that the keyboard didn't work when we set up on stage. We decided to start playing anyway, and it simply turned out to be one of our best shows so far!

The kids were perfect! Alex and Vincent played on the floor and their shoulders were touching those of the jumping crowd. We loved it! Kamloops! We want to come back again!
