Widespread Panic will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame at the 30th Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show on Saturday, September 20th in Atlanta, GA. The show will broadcast live on Georgia Public Broadcasting and will include a special performance from the band.

Past inductees include Georgia musicians including Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, R.E.M., and the Allman Brothers Band as well as industry professionals such as music attorney Joel Katz and record label owner Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

"Sharing this honor... with so many of our greatest musical influences, is something I'm sure none of the Band members imagined when we first started making music together. September 20th is going to be a truly special day for the entire Widespread Panic Family," says John Bell, vocalist and founding member of Widespread Panic.

Panic fans,
Here are some policies the Tennessee Theatre asked us to make you aware of if you're headed to the upcoming shows

From the Tennessee Theatre:

The Historic Tennessee Theatre is proud to welcome Widespread Panic and their fans back to Knoxville for a three night run July 14th-16th. We’re excited about the occasion and want everyone to have a great time while visiting Knoxville.

Here are some helpful hints to ensure that your visit is enjoyable:

-Three parking garages are located within a very short walk of the theater and all three offer FREE parking after 6pm each evening: The State Street Garage (just behind the theater and one block over), the Market Square Garage (located adjacent to Historic Market Square), and the Locust Street Garage (3 blocks down Union Street from Gay Street).
-Please note that no overnight parking / camping will be allowed in any of the downtown garages or parking lots.
-No vending will be allowed in the downtown area.
-No open alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the parking garages or in any public areas downtown.
-No illegal activities of any kind will be tolerated.


Please observe these few rules and you’ll be sure to enjoy your visit to Knoxville.

Food Drives in Knoxville
On a related note, representatives from the local Second Harvest Food Bank will be on hand next week at all three Knoxville, TN shows to collect canned good donations from the fans. If you're headed to any of the shows, be sure and bring a couple cans to donate when you walk in the door. Your help and generosity goes a very long way in making sure no one in the community goes hungry.

JB will be participating in this weekend's Rothbury Think Tank. At 4:15pm CST this Friday July 4th at the Wagon Wheel venue, he will join other artists in a discussion concerning The Path to Energy Independence and a New American Energy Revolution.

The goals of the ROTHBURY Think Tank are to spark awareness, inspire a movement, and connect the live music community directly with some of the world’s top experts on how to solve climate change and achieve energy independence. At the end of Widespread Panic's sold-out run this weekend, the band will have played 32 Sold Out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre - more than any other band in the venue's history. Red Rocks officials will honor the band with a special award presentation, and a mayoral proclamation calling Friday, June 27 "Widespread Panic Day" in the City and County of Denver.
