blog post Darling Nikki - Heroes - Foo Fighters Version
Posted in Videos on May 17, 2007 at 6:48 PM

Another idea for a video I can't find out there. A Nikki/Jessica video to 'Darling Nikki' with a focus on N/J/Nathan and N/J/Peter.

I'm not sure about all the images yet but I'd definitely use the webcam footage from the first episode, the episode where Linderman asks Nikki to seduce Nathan, and the episode where a future version of Nikki is stripping under the stage name 'Jessica'.

And while I do love the original Prince version, or used to, this Foo Fighters version seems to fit N/J a little better with the loud guitars and drum.

This song is perfect for either Veronica Mars during the Logan/Kendall period or an AU version of Kennedy to Willow/Tara (on BtVS) ... And I'm wondering why in the world I can't find a single video! If my current computer had the capability to do it I so would. Or if anyone has clips they want to give me... well, I'd still be willing to try.

blog post Joss Stone is awesome!

Just came back from her first concert on her new tour "Introducing Joss Stone" and I think I've fallen to a whole new level of adoration for the woman. She's so sweet and personable, not to mention her fantastic pipes, that I think you can't help but fall a little bit in love with her.

Of course, she would say it's the music you've fallen in love with (her explaination of how her song 'Music' came to be) and not her but I beg to differ. I think I'd have loved it if she'd just stood up there and talked with us (yes, -with- us. Small venues are great for that) like she threatened to.

The only thing that marred the experience for me were three things. One, that her opening act (Ryan Shaw) didn't exactly do it for me. He's a good singer but entirely forgettable. I don't think his album is going to sell unless it has some serious 'Timberland' type help. Secondly, the seats were comfy but the leg room was cramped and I was a little hesitant to stand because I didn't want to be the sort of person who blocks your view at a concert, you know? And third, there was some sort of technical issue (well, that or one of the musicians got 'lost' in the casino) after Ryan got off the stage so we waited about half an hour after him for Joss to come on stage. I'm going to go with missing musician because her third backup singer came in late, lol.

Anyway, enough of the bad, back to the good. Great audience participation (if I do say so myself) and we even flustered her so much that she couldn't get out the last few words of 'Right to Be Wrong' out. heh! She swore because she was blushing so much. I wonder that she'd not used to that kind of attention yet but I guess some people never get 'used to' that.

Okay, off to see if I can find that single she sang that's only out on the Japanese versions of 'Introducing Joss Stone' ... I'm blanking on the title right now but it'll come to me.

When I first heard this song on one of my sister's mix cds, I absolutely flipped! I wasn't even really into techno at the time so my sister was surprised when I requested it every time we went somewhere in her car.

I didn't know it then, but I do now, that the song on my sister's cd was a remix and not the original. Don't get me wrong, the original is nice, but the remix was awesome! Unfortunately, the cd it was on was stolen from my sister's car (along with other stuff) a while ago. *sobs*

So, if anyone out there would like to give remixing this song a shot here's a link to what it sounds like and I'll send you a copy of the mp3 if you request it.

So, I once stumbled across a site where there were hints of a game that 'played you' and was intrigued. It was called the Majestic and seemed very, very cool. Unfortunately I was in high school at the time and unable to sign up because of parental restrictions.

Today, I recalled that game and googled it for the hell of it. What I came back with was the concept of Alternate Reality Games (or ARG) wherein you use real world connections (internet, email, phone, mass media) to become immersed within an alternate world. If you follow the trails, it should eventually lead you into that world and you discover the story behind it all.

So... I'm going to try it. (Especially the Heroes 360 one I've heard about through argnet. I love that show!)

And since a few of the characters of the show have myspace sites, I've decided to (finally) sign up for my own myspace page. So, if you're interested, here's the link.
