I think I wrote this poem when I was thirteen, not sure really, but I found it earlier and was pretty proud of it lol. But yeah.. Just thought I'd post it =] (Of course i edited it a bit though :P)





Nothing Last Forever.

Something I found out alone.
No matter how much you wish,
How much you try,
everything has its day to die.
It may be tomorrow,
Or even a few years from now,
But there will come a time
When it's all shot down.

Nothing Lasts Forever.

One of my latest revelations.
Friends come. They go.
But rarely 'til the curtains close.
Once this lesson's learnt, however
You come to realise,
That everything, in the end, all turns out fine.

Saying that, there is one thing that never dies.
All tests of time it has survived.
It's true powers are still yet unknown,
But its effects we're all constantly shown.
Four letters, one syllable.
So simple in its complexity.
The one thing that runs through life.
Through you.
Through me.

It was my greatest revelation,
As the old saying says,
To love and be loved.
That, I'll cherish, til my dying day.


The one thing that defies the rules of life.
The one thing, I know, will never die.
The one thing that has lasted throughout all time.
I wonder where it will take me,
When it will arrive,
What form it will take, when in my life it shines.
