Did I miss your birthday? If so, happy belated! So how are things with you. It is now fall, and the weather is getting chillier. I haven't even logged into here for such a long time. Hope you are doing well, and talk to you soon.

It has been either really hot here or raining so the yard work hasn't been getting done as it should. I am much further north, and we get quite hot at times over the summer. I guess it is the winter that throws some people off. Weather misconceptions...hehe! We have settled in for the most part. We are still not fully unpacked but there will be many months of winter to worry about the inside of the house.

Sofie does run outside now but stops as soon as she is out the door...lol! We put her out on a lead and she now needs to go out everyday to eat her grass. I am truly enjoying the neighborhood and the peace and quiet. I was beginning to forget that there are genuinely nice people in this world. It is so odd how consumed one gets by their surroundings.

The job will come at the right time. I am looking to move into another area within the next couple of years. I need mental stimulation. Although I am grateful for my job, as it pays the bills, I don't think I can do it much longer.

Since the move, Sofie has been obsessively licking her paws. I think it is the combination of the move and the fact that she wants outside now. We need to be outside with her as we do have some wildlife that could come up from the river. We made her little leggings and put a bandanna on her to keep her from licking so her fur will grow back. Here is a pic. She doesn't look happy...poor kitty...lol!

As for us, we're still getting small snowfalls... lmao... summer ain't here, quite yet! Hopefully, soon....but, I saw a few snowflakes today, just before it rained!... then the sun came out! Sheesh! I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind!

I've workied so much throughout May and thought that June would ease up on me, but I was wrong! It's gonna be an obstacle course to get through June and I'm planning on flying to Saskatoon at the beginning of July, for a wedding; so, I am gonna have to work my hiney off to get everything done by then. It almost seems easier to just stay home and work, without all the extra effort, but I will persevere!
